PHS is extending the invitation to all Maine sangha members to attend our biennial retreat September 27 - 29 (Fri evening - Sun afternoon). This year we are blessed to have dear Dharma Teacher, Jeanne Anselmo, join us!
We will gather at Nurture Through Nature, a beautiful, earth~friendly retreat in the heart of Western Maine lakes and mountains region in Denmark Maine with simple sleeping quarters, yurts, camping and composting toilets. We will each bring our own food for breakfast & lunches & will have a pot luck supper on Saturday. Cost is $100 and we will also offer donations/dana to our teacher for her time/travels. Jeanne Anselmo, a senior fellow in Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, and certified holistic nurse, co-founded the Contemplative Urban Law program at City University School of Law in 2001. There she continues to cultivate engaged mindfulness practice (mindfulness in action) and building community with students and graduates, as well as guest teaching the Contemplative Lawyering in Social Justice course with Victor Goode. Jean is an ordained member of the Order of Interbeing; in 2001, Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, authorized her as a Dharma teacher. Jean offers retreats for helping professionals, law students/lawyers and those interested in inter-contemplative dialogue in both the US and Ireland.
